Holly Dunn is a British singer-songwriter and songwriter. She has released three albums, “The Girl With No Name” in 2014, “Holly Dunn” in 2016, and “No One Knows” in 2018.

Holly Dunn is an American actress, singer, and songwriter. She is the daughter of actors Ronnie Dunn and Nancy Lee Grahn.

Holly Dunn was born in 1957 in San Antonio, Texas, and was the sister of future country songwriting expert Chris Waters. She was one of the most successful female country singers of the late 1980s. She was a member of a band called the Freedom Folk in high school, which toured the South and played at the White House bicentennial celebration. She performed in the Hilltop Singers touring choir while at Abilene Christian University, and she also co-wrote a song with her brother called “Out of Sight, Not Out of Mind.” Cristy Lane recorded it, and Dunn decided to try her luck in Nashville after graduation.

Dunn worked as a demo vocalist in Nashville for a while before joining her brother at CBS as a staff composer. She went to MTM in 1984 and wrote songs for a variety of vocalists, including Louise Mandrell, who had a Top Ten success with “I’m Not Through Loving You Yet.” Dunn earned her own record deal as a result of the album’s popularity, and released her debut single in 1985. The next year, she released her self-titled debut album, which had her first Top Ten hit, “Daddy’s Hands.” Cornerstone, released in 1987, had two Top Five songs in “Love Someone Like Me” and “Only When I Love,” and Dunn produced Across the Rio Grande, released in 1988, which featured the successes “Strangers Again” and “(It’s Always Gonna Be) Someday.” Following MTM’s bankruptcy, Dunn signed with Warner Bros. for 1989’s The Blue Rose of Texas, which yielded her first-ever number one hit, “Are You Ever Gonna Love Me,” as well as the Top Five single “There Goes My Heart Again.”

Milestones: Greatest Hits Heart Full of Love, released in 1990, produced another chart-topper, “You Really Had Me Going,” and Warner followed it up with Milestones, a smash collection released in 1991. (One of the new songs, “Maybe I Mean Yes,” stirred debate due to its lyrical tone, which some mistook for an apology for date rape.) With the release of Getting It Dunn in 1992, Dunn’s popularity plummeted, and she severed ties with Warner. With Life and Love and All the Stages, she reappeared in 1995 on the smaller River North label, then was back on a big (A&M) for 1997’s Leave One Bridge Standing. She left commercial music in 2003, claiming changing times and a desire to paint as reasons for her departure. Before quitting music, she released just the gospel CD Full Circle. She died of ovarian cancer in November 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the age of 59.

Holly Dunn is an American singer-songwriter, actress, and producer. She has released five studio albums, two of which reached the top ten on the US Billboard 200 chart. Reference: holly dunn marriage.
