Esta pelicula / OVA en principio iba a ser una especie de programa que consistía en hacer preguntas sobre la serie y la gente llamaba para acertarlas y ganar premios; pero debido al éxito que arrasó en Japón la han considerado como una película más de Dragon Ball.Goku, Gohan, Krilin, Trunks y Bulma hacen un viaje a través del tiempo en la maquina de Trunks para ver algunos momentos de sus vidas como: el entrenamiento con Mutenroshi,el torneo mundial,las batallas de Goku contra Vegeta,Freezer o Celula y muchas cosas más.
